Climb Tafraout: Granite

The climbing on the quarzite cliffs of nearby Jebel el Kest and Jebel Taskra have grown in public awareness very quickly in the last years. The relatively small area of Tafraout located a little more to the South is just perfect for climbers looking for something a little bit different. From climbing on solid granite with best friction on steep off-width cracks and bold slabs, everybody will find the perfect single- or multi-pitch route. The guidebook offers trad as well as sport climbing and bouldering. The best time to come here for climbing is from late September to end of April.The guidebook is divided into 6 chapters plus one focussing solely on bouldering, describing a total of more than 250 routes.
