Bouldering a Valdinferno:
The Climbing Guide includes over 350 bouldering problems at all levels of difficulty, so it has plenty to offer beginners and pros alike. The area is located not far from the Ligurian coast and about 50 km from the very famous Albenga. In the midst of untouched nature in an alpine ambience at 1,200 meters above sea level, bouldering can be done here all year round. The winter is particularly suitable because of the southern exposure. The guide is divided into three chapters: Alto, Medio, Basso, with all areas in close proximity to each other and never requiring a long walk. Each chapter includes all the necessary practical information as well as maps and a brief historical review. At the beginning of the guide there is a table with the most important terms in German and English, which facilitates the understanding of the guide, which is written throughout in Italian.
Bouldering in Valle Gesso:
This bouldering guide describes the area of Vallone di San Giacomo. It contains more than 500 boulder problems on several relatively small blocks, all marked on full-color phototopos. Both beginners and already experienced climbers will find all kinds of things to do here. Especially interesting for beginners is the fact that there are hardly any dangerous jumps. The rock type is predominantly gneiss. On the first pages of the book there is a table with the most important terms also in German and English, so it should not be a problem to use the otherwise exclusively Italian written guide. Numerous maps and useful information are included, as well as a brief introduction to the history of climbing in the area. The best season for climbing is spring and fall, in summer it is best to switch to the slightly higher areas or wait for the evening when it cools down a bit.
Miroglio Falesia e Bouldering:
Miroglio is located about 100 kilometers from Finale Ligure. This guide describes the historic "Palestra Beppino Avagnina", an impressive amphitheater of rocks from 20 to 70 meters high, where whole generations of climbers have grown up over the years. Climbing is possible all year round, although the perfect conditions are certainly found in spring and autumn. The climbing guide contains an equal amount of content on sport climbing and bouldering, each with about 140 well-secured routes and bouldering problems each on the best quartzite. The routes are mostly very short, but all the more intense. On the first pages of the guide you will find a historical overview of this climbing area, as well as following information about each line in the corresponding chapters.
